Garden Day – Saturday 10th October from 9.00am
We shall be having our socially distanced garden day from 9.00am on Saturday 10th October.
We shall be keeping to the full Covid rules, including social distancing. We’ve looked at the “rule of 6” which allows us to run our gardening day without limit on numbers. The regulations state as they talk about the rule of 6 as it applies to events like our garden day “This does not mean that no more than six people can attend. There can be multiple groups of six people attending, provided that the social interaction and shared activity is limited to groups of six.”
So we’ll serve coffee, and the Ministry of Cake will be in operation from 9 o’clock, and we’ll break for a sausage sizzle and a drink from noon. We’ll need to ensure that we don’t group more than six people together while we serve the food and drinks.
We’ll ask everyone to make sure that they maintain social distancing at all times, and avoid forming groups of more than six while working, which shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
What we want to do is clear all the paths, tidy up some of the graves, and clear the garden beds around the new Churchyard.
Come when it suits you, don’t feel you have to clock on at 9.00, or stay the full distance either. It will be good to see you.
