Owls Club Covid-19 Disclaimer September 2020

In November we invite everyone to shine like a star, as the church calendar reminds us to commemorate the saints who have shone like stars before us. Remembrance helps us celebrate the lives of those who gave up so much. In Owls, we will be making remembrance stars to remember loved ones or pets that have died.

During November Owls, weather-dependent, we hope to plant daffodil bulbs to act as bright beacons of joy in the Spring to cheer us all up, and we also look forward to celebrating Alex Baty’s birthday!

Hallelujah Packs

Over half-term the Owls Team will be delivering Hallelujah packs to all the Little Owls to celebrate John 8:12:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life”.
The packs will include a Scripture Union booklet, a craft lantern, a Faith pencil, a glow-in-the-dark owl and some sweeties.

Sponsor a booklet for Christmas!

Would you like to donate £1 to provide each of our 25 Owls with this lovely little booklet? “It begins in Bethlehem”, written as a Nativity Rhyme for Christmastime by Bob Hartman and illustrated by Mark beech? Perfect for parents and carers to read to their children over the festive season and the little booklet even has colour-in pages for the children to get creative with and make their own mark on the greatest story ever told. If you would like to get involved, please put the £1 in an envelope with “Owls Club Christmas booklet” written on the front and give it to Ali, Rebecca Hume, or Patsy by the end of November. Many thanks! Ali x
