Our Christmas Appeal

We are appealing for £12,000 to fund our Youth Work for 2021.

This year has been difficult for St Mary’s financially.  With restricted or no services for much of the year our income is down, but our expenses have barely changed.  We have been grateful for the continuing loyalty of our generous congregation, community and friends, particularly through the Parish Giving Scheme, but we shall still finish the year with a deficit.

We have continued to press on with our Youth Work.  Ali Brown is doing a wonderful job for us with Owls Club for our younger children, and their parents are becoming an ever more important part of our congregation. Lee Buck has moved his 11+ youth club work on-line while the club cannot meet live, and providing an important and valued ministry to this age group.

Our young people are the future of our Church.  We must continue to serve them, to bring our young people to the Lord and our Lord to our young people, enabling them to know, love and follow Jesus.

We are budgeting £12,000 for this work in 2021, and would like to raise it now and ring fence it to guarantee this crucially important part of our life and work can continue.
